This week, leaders from the United States and around the world gathered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to collaborate on global issues at the  ‪@G20orgBrasil‬  Leaders Summit. Secretary Blinken and President Biden led the U.S. delegation, and joined fellow member countries – as well as the European Union and the African Union – to work together in new ways to address shared challenges, including:

— Addressing climate change
— Strengthening global health security
— Ensuring AI and technology are used for good
— Advancing inclusive growth and development
 
It was a great time to be in Brazil since 2024 marks the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States and Brazil, which has made it possible for our countries to develop into two of the most diverse, thriving democracies in the world.  #G20   #G20Brazil

The next Olympic and Paralympic games host city will be Los Angeles. Did you know that this is the third time the star-studded city will host the summer games? We revisit a few iconic moments from previous games ahead of  #LA28 .

Truman behind him, signed the North Atlantic Treaty in the Department Auditorium alongside 12 other nations. 75 years later on July 9, 2024, in the same auditorium, President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, host a reception celebrating the Alliance alongside representatives from NATO’s 32 nations.
