Here’s a quick shout out to Tim an anonymous subscriber. He really outdid himself with these thoughtful gifts! I’m so excited to test out my new fishing pole and both freshwater and saltwater lures. He also got me a pair of gloves (currently in the car), two amazing GoPro batteries, and a super handy flexible GoPro stand that can clip onto almost anything.  

These kinds of gestures remind me how grateful I am for the kindness of others. Life can be hectic, and there’s never quite enough resources to get everything you need to thrive, so gifts like these truly mean the world to me. I can’t wait to put all of this to good use!

**Dinner is served!**  

I tried black drum fish for the first time, and WOW—this fish is on another level! The flavor is so clean and mild, and the way I seasoned it with Old Bay, garlic, onion, and a touch of crab boil brought it to life.  

I took things up a notch and made a sandwich featuring deep-fried drum fish topped with a homemade garlic, lemon, dill, and sour cream aioli, plus fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The result? A flaky, decadent masterpiece that did not disappoint!  

Now I’m inspired to learn more about catching black drum fish myself. 

"I've never cleaned or filleted a black drum before, and let me tell you—those thick scales made it a real challenge! But I managed to get it done, and tonight I'll be turning it into a delicious fish fillet sandwich. I'll be topping it off with a lettuce, tomato,homemade garlic, dill, lemon, and sour cream aioli. Stay tuned for the picture tonight!! 

This is my first time visiting Cedar Key, a place that has always been known for its beauty and charm. Sadly, it’s been deeply impacted by the recent hurricane, and seeing the aftermath was a humbling experience.

Despite the challenges, the spirit of this community shines bright. The people here are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met, and their resilience is truly inspiring. While the crabbing hasn’t been the best this time around, there’s so much more to this place than just the fishing.
