The division taking place throughout our world has a demonic source. My recent podcast guests, EJ Kimball and Natalie Sanandaji, witnessed firsthand the death and destruction that comes from expressions of hatred. The good news is we serve a greater Authority than the forces of evil. Through Christ, we have the power and opportunity to shine a light in the darkness and bring hope in the midst of despair.

The minds of children are being perverted in public schools. They are exposed to pornographic materials and indoctrinated to believe they can question biological realities, such as whether they are a boy or a girl. We have an assignment to be Kingdom difference-makers in this generation, just as Moses, or David, or the Apostle Paul did in their times. We don’t gather on the weekend so we can be experts on what God was doing ten centuries before the birth of Christ. While it’s good to have insight into first century Christianity, our assignment is to be salt and light in the 21st century. This is our generation, and one day we’re going to meet those heroes of Hebrews 11, and they’re going to ask us what we’ve done. What can you do with the time God has given you? 

The voices speaking to us right now that are trying to sow resentment, anger, division and hatred over generational wounds. It is evil. It is evil to tell people they are entitled to anger, resentment, bitterness, and hatred. Don't participate in that. Where have you seen the seeds of discord being sown in our nation?

Nothing will better secure and prepare us for what is ahead than being grounded in the Word of God. The discipline of learning to read your Bible is absolutely essential to sustain the momentum of your spiritual life in a season of tremendous deception and increasing turmoil. It’s much better to develop the habit when you’re not under tremendous pressure and stress. That way, when those things emerge, you already have a habit that will enable you to stand.
